The Challenge

High-Concurrency Appointment Locking: Handling multiple patients attempting to secure the same medical or operational time slots concurrently without causing race conditions or duplicate bookings in MongoDB.

Optimized Image Comparison Rendering: Managing high-resolution, uncompressed clinical before-and-after images without causing severe layout shifts (CLS) or decreasing the performance metrics of mobile landing speeds.

Dynamic FAQ and Service Lookup Latency: Running repetitive text-search aggregates on database schemas for services, procedures, and interactive FAQs during peak traffic periods.

Our Solution

Redis-Backed Slot Management: Implemented an in-memory lock and cache architecture via Redis to seamlessly manage temporary time-slot availability and quickly deliver frequently read data like clinic statistics and FAQs.

Next.js Static Generation & Optimization: Utilized Next.js Static Site Generation (SSG) for high-traffic informational zones and dynamic image optimization configurations to smoothly serve interactive medical image carousels.

Dockerized Environment Standardization: Containerized the entire frontend web framework, backend API server, and Redis database systems into isolated Docker environments to guarantee reliable, rapid staging and production deployments.
